Another updated G-T show...?

I just received some upcoming show info from one of the broadcast industry newsletters, which contained what I thought was an interesting blurb:

Bridges TV (a U.S. Muslim TV channel) will air the following as part of their Ramadan programming:

He Said, She Said - This game show challenges married couples to see how well they know one another with Uzma Quader hosting the show on Mondays at 9:30p beginning October 10.

Anyone familiar with this?

"He Said She Said" was a forerunner to Tattletales.  It had celebs like Tattletales, and this listing doesn't mention celebs...

I didn't even know that Muslims had their own TV channel in the United States. Given the status of women in Islamic societies, I find it interesting that a game show involving married couples was even considered. It's more likely that this program will have ordinary couples than celebrities as we understand the term.

He Said, She Said is a must-see if for no other reason than the special effects and Ted Cooper's very clever use of early chroma-key technology.

Actually, it's at least nine (Chuck Donegan has eight episodes in his collection plus the pilot, all of which GSN had aired at some point).  GSN last ran one a couple of years ago (along with a 1973 TTTT) as one of those time-change bonus hours (I taped that one, but I'm not sure if that ep is part of Chuckie's collection or not).

In fact, the episode that GSN showed was the same as the episode that was seen on Game of the Week in 2000 with two futurely known game show hosts on the panel(Bert Convy and Dick Clark).

It pretty much was.  Scrolling back through Usenet, apparently six of them aired as a marathon in September 1997 (just before the "Dark Period").

The strange thing is (at least to me) that not all episodes of this show exist in color.  Even though it first came on in the late '60s (1969, I think), GSN has aired a couple of episodes of this that only exist in black and white.  Considering the syndie "What's My Line" (which started in 1968) exists today in color, it's surprising the entirely of "He Said She Said" doesn't.

One of the worst ever...even when they used it on WML for the Who's Who segments.

PS to Ian: Since the show taped at NBC, it most definitely originated in color (as did all NBC network shows from 11/66 forward). The BW kine GSN aired was most likely because the original color tape was bad or missing.

Call me crazy (<Dan Sadro>"You're crazy!"<end/Dan Sadro>), but I kinda liked the theme.  For me, it just seemed to work on those "Who's Who" segments.  This is not to say the theme wasn't dopey--but I did find it kinda catchy.

Insert your favorite Chuck Barris "Then again. . ." one-liner here.  :)

Should be an interesting show...

Host: "Your husbands are backstage, and here are some new subjects. Let's hear some really interesting personal stories, ladies. First one...something your husband did that was stupid!"

(SILENCE)

"...okay...here's another one...something your husband forgot to do!"

(SILENCE)

"...then our final question, which of you is better in bed?"

WIFE 1 - HE is!
WIFE 2 - HE is!
WIFE 3 - HE is!
WIFE 4 - Yes, my husband sleeps very well, thank you!

I wonder whether some traditions have been relaxed, or the questions will not be counter-cultural? Worth waiting to find out.
